De boeken die bij dit thema horen zijn niet gemakkelijk in te delen. Ze raken inhoudelijk aan hoe groot de invloed is van de biologische en evolutionaire kant van mensen op hun voorkeuren voor een bepaald uiterlijk, op wie ze aantrekkelijk vinden, op met wie ze relaties willen hebben, op hun opvattingen over seksualiteit, en op de rollenpatronen waarnaar ze zich gedragen. En dan vaak ook nog eens aan meerdere van die onderwerpen tegelijkertijd. Ik heb de uittreksels van deze boeken dus maar bij elkaar gehouden.
